Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join the OneLayer team. In this role, you will guide our infrastructure decisions and lead implementation efforts across our technology stack.

As our Senior DevOps Engineer, you will assess and evolve our infrastructure, identify improvements, and implement solutions while collaborating with the team. You'll work across all layers of our technology stack and help shape our DevOps practices and tooling choices. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, observability systems, and infrastructure as code. You'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure, managing Kubernetes deployments, implementing CI/CD workflows, and ensuring robust monitoring and security across all systems.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading infrastructure initiatives and guiding technical decisions
  • Deep expertise in cloud architecture and services, with hands-on AWS experience (required)
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes ecosystem including cluster management, Helm, and K3s (required)
  • Proficiency in containerization with Docker and container orchestration patterns (required)
  • Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitOps practices (required)
  • Strong automation skills with Python/Bash scripting and Linux system administration (required)
  • Proficiency in Azure AD integration and enterprise authentication (required)
  • Database administration experience with PostgreSQL (required)
  • Hands-on experience with message brokers and streaming platforms (Kafka, NATS) (required)
  • VMware virtualization stack experience for hybrid infrastructure (required)
  • Experience with identity management using Keycloak (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code principles and tools
  • Experience implementing security best practices and zero-trust architectures
  • Expertise in observability solutions including metrics, logging, and distributed tracing
  • Experience mentoring teams and driving DevOps culture
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend technology changes based on organizational needs
